Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of SoloBrief, the project intake service available at solobrief.hk-bizflow.com. By creating an account or using the service — including filling in a brief as a client — you agree to these terms.
The service
SoloBrief lets freelancers and solo operators build client intake briefs, share them via a private link, collect structured answers, and compile those answers into a Scope of Work document that both parties can acknowledge with a digital sign-off.
Plans and subscriptions
SoloBrief offers a free Starter tier with access to up to 3 active client briefs and core intake features. SoloBrief Pro is a paid subscription at $19 per month billed through Stripe, providing unlimited active briefs, advanced niche presets, Scope of Work compilation with dual digital sign-off, PDF exports, client deposit & Calendly integrations, and complete white-labeling. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your active billing cycle, after which your account reverts to the free Starter tier.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for activity that happens under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use SoloBrief. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which permanently removes your briefs and the answers they contain.
Your content
You own the content you create in SoloBrief — briefs, questions, client answers, and Scope of Work documents. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store, display, and transmit that content so the service works. We do not use your content for advertising or to train AI models.
You are responsible for the content of your briefs and for having the right to collect the information your briefs request from clients.
Brief links and client submissions
Briefs are shared through unguessable private links. Anyone with the link can view the brief and, while it is open, submit answers. You are responsible for sharing links only with the people involved in a project. Once a client submits, their answers are locked and cannot be edited — by them or by you.
Sign-off is not a qualified electronic signature
The digital sign-off feature records a typed name and a timestamp as an acknowledgment between you and your client. It is not a certified or qualified electronic signature service, and we make no representation about its enforceability as a contract signature in any jurisdiction. For legally binding agreements, consult a lawyer and use a dedicated e-signature service if required.
Third-party services
SoloBrief lets you attach Stripe payment links and Calendly booking links to a brief. These are links to services operated by third parties under their own terms. SoloBrief does not process payments, hold funds, or manage bookings, and is not a party to any transaction between you and your client.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use SoloBrief for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful;
- use briefs to phish for credentials, payment details, or other sensitive data beyond legitimate project intake;
- attempt to access other users' data or probe, disrupt, or overload the service;
- resell or white-label the service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
SoloBrief is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if on the free Starter tier).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
You can stop using SoloBrief and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service or your access to it for violation of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. On account deletion, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
